this $10 baby tote from bagladies just puts it out there what you're carrying around in there. i think this is perfect both for irreverent moms and vulgar dads.

pulp

i'm not sure if i stumbled upon these magnets ($8) by radpanda at etsy on my own or through some other blog's tip, but, she basically makes cool magnets out of EVERYTHING. i'm pretty sure these images are similar to the chronicle books pulp comic postcard set, which i love as well.

can you hear the karate kid music?

so ive actually gone to the gym for 3 days in a row, so in honour of that i'm going to put up this post dedicated to etsy sweatbands. the first set from buzzingBOTS is $18 for a set of two, which includes free shipping to U.S. residents, a $3 donation to a SF YMCA and special ninja powers. the second wristband is from loving anvil and shows a lovely deer on an american apparel sweatband for $16. no ninja powers though.

green living

rare bird finds posted about this "vintage shopper" ($20) on their etsy saturday post, and i was really taken by the entire concept. the cotton and the concept (i.e. reusable shopping bags) are both green/organic, the illustration is great and the execution is both clever and affordable. showpony also sells a line of similar purses ($16):

urban heirlooms

brilliantly designed, i love the concept of this wallet ($60) from urban heirlooms at etsy. the leather and the stitching is great, but especially the use of the antique key. my only problem is that it consists of a single compartment, and while i use a billfold wallet, i don't like i'd be content to just have everything jammed into one pocket. because of that i think i'd reccommend it to folks who either just want a few things to carry around, when they go out to dinner or to a club for instance, or to folks who carry their wallet in a bag or a purse. there are three other colour/leather options for those who prefer black, tan or caramel. at present, the only other item in the shop is this adorable "parlour pillow" ($45) :

baked sentiment

the motto of this boston design body's various lines is "make cupcakes not war," with kitsch logo placement prominent in every place you thought of and a few you hadn't. johnny cupcakes sells t-shirts like the one above ($35) and the belt below ($22):

cross post ...

lensizm did a post on laptop bags today as well, and they found some stunners. the above bag from jtote is my favorite, i think it would match 80% of my wardrobe (which, yeah, gives you a hint as to what i look like every day), though it runs a hefty $224 price tag. check out their other 4 finds ($26 to $208).

softwear

so i've spent a few minutes now trying to decide if this "refract" laptop bag ($86) has enough machismo in it, but i don't think i care ... the stitching, the colours, everything is great. apparently its only 12" across though, so i'd have to get out the ruler to decide if it was big enough. if orange is more to your taste, look at this model below:

timewarp

i've found the new hotspot for retro accessories and homewares methinks ... if you don't believe, look a little longer at these 90s florescent floppy disk coasters (don't think about the €27 price tag, dollar to sterling conversions hurt brain cells as well as wallets) so for €11 you can get this mad kitsch gold cassette pin from supermandolini. i especially love the satin substitute for tape reel ... if there isn't a beautiful drag of dense 90s irony in a ruined tape you'd lovingly dubbed "greatest ballads ever" i don't know what is. because we remember those ballads, and them shits were so not great with hindsight. right? right. (i might have taken this too far, but hey)

twisted twee

this is the underside of a worry pillow, where you can keep your trepidation suitably under wraps. if you can't tell, the little figures are those tiny little worry dolls folks used to have (£10). and then, let's hypothesize: so its cold, but you you still want to be all cute and rub your clammy palms together? buy these £30 lovers gloves from twisted twee, fine purveyers of kitsch.

brand new bag

so this is a pretty sweet shopping bag. the website doesn't give a whole lot of information, but i think that its safe to say that this is made out of that vinyl-y nylon shopping-bag material that they're all made of out. $18. and these pencils are a dollar! at ghettogloss boutique.

brown sugar cinnamon

so every saturday, rare bird finds posts loads of etsy finds, and after following the link on some baby booties i found a vendor, mojo trashion, who makes these change purses out of recycled pop tart packages. i'm into them. they even have one made out of razzles!
