these spash-themed bowls at MoMA are $40 for a set of three, and while i think the "splashiest" one is the best i do think these would look great for a sushi set up like they've gone for or maybe a salsa trio?

these ready-to-hang "lak hooks" are pretty sweet .... on sale at urban outfitters for $4 a pop (down from $6), you can't actually pick the colour you get, so i'm gonna buy two and hope for the best.

i'm not sure if i stumbled upon these magnets ($8) by radpanda at etsy on my own or through some other blog's tip, but, she basically makes cool magnets out of EVERYTHING. i'm pretty sure these images are similar to the chronicle books pulp comic postcard set, which i love as well.

what was i thinking?

so these photo albums are absolutely genius, albeit (as many nice things are) quite pricey at $25 a pop. the fake book covers have the following titles ... Friends and Family (in forest green), Travels Near and Far (brown), Memories (brown), Our Grandkids (maroon), Top Dog (maroon), What Was I Thinking (forest green), and I Can't Remember (maroon). from bas bleu.

i'm a good son, honest.

so i was pretty delighted when my favorite mother's day flower arrangement at teleflora also ended up being one of the cheapest ... these flowers were just $35, and the $10 off coupon (promotion code: psgg10d if it doesn't show up) basically gave me free shipping!

so ive actually gone to the gym for 3 days in a row, so in honour of that i'm going to put up this post dedicated to etsy sweatbands. the first set from buzzingBOTS is $18 for a set of two, which includes free shipping to U.S. residents, a $3 donation to a SF YMCA and special ninja powers. the second wristband is from loving anvil and shows a lovely deer on an american apparel sweatband for $16. no ninja powers though.

man, nice forks and knives are expensive. dealhack clued me into this sale at oneida, but even then this lovely capello pattern is $110 just for the 5 piece service for 4. still, look at those lovely weighted curves ... someday.

bird's egg view

another rare bird finds-inspired post, i found this bird nest window project ($15) over at hearthsong after musing over these upside-down tomato planters (also $15). the tomato planters are probably more of a sure thing since its hard to force the birds to make a nest against your window, but if you're already a bird-feeder type maybe they're both equally possible.

green living

rare bird finds posted about this "vintage shopper" ($20) on their etsy saturday post, and i was really taken by the entire concept. the cotton and the concept (i.e. reusable shopping bags) are both green/organic, the illustration is great and the execution is both clever and affordable. showpony also sells a line of similar purses ($16):
