this lovely print is on sale over at indie fixx for 11% off (that's right, you gotta count on one of your toes too)! by browington forest, and measuring 7 1/4" x 9 1/4". $16. i enjoy the whimsical shape of the tree, the roughness of the line-drawing paired with the digital colouring.

i have to put out there that the allure of this piece might be due to the stems we have on display here, but overall i think its quite fetching. $55 from wrapables. they also have these dish/napkin sets from mudlark ... as a rule, i think its a bad idea to pair disposable items with permanent ones like dishes because it makes you debate when to actually "use up" the disposable pieces, but these mudlark sets (you may have seen their stationarybefore ) are reasonably enough priced (on sale for $15) that you can think of the napkins as "free" to avoid fretting:

susan rothschild has a pretty extensive collection of japanese drawings, paints and art featured on glass tiles, trivets and cutting boards. 'the wave' and other well-known japanese paintings are well-represented, and most at $19.

me lucky charms ...

on sale at the museum of modern art shop, this four-leaf clover-based umbrella stand is a classy yet sturdy chrome addition to your foyer(/studio entrance). once $115, now its a bargain buy at $50. while there pick up this paperweight crafted to resemble a crumpled architect's blueprint ($25).

nothing better than ...

to make this a hat trick, check out this $28 actual ginkgo leaf preserved in resin and strung as a pendant at bijoux bijoux. they also sell resinned rose petals and clover.

more herb for the table

this is the plate that sparked my mini-ginkgo interest ... and its only $9.95 at crate & barrel for not a tiny piece .. the website lists the dimensions as 10.25"W x 10.75"D x 1.25"H, so it'd be good for crackers or maybe a nice gloppy dip. there are $3.95 little baby gingko plates for dips if you prefer your dip and crackers to be separated ...

suitable sentiment

slow day for posting today. i've been enamoured of ginko leaf patterns of late, including this pewter paperweight from uncommon goods. its inscribed with the phrase "thanks for the memories" on the underside, which although vague, could convey a suitably platonic sentiment from, say, a group of coworkers. priced at $52, its 4" high.
